Are there any indications that skin cancer will be aggravated by use of laser hair therapy?

There are no indications that using low-level laser therapy (LLLT), also referred to as photobiomodulation (or PBMT), will exacerbate skin cancer.  LLLT is exclusively in the visible red light spectrum – no UV or other harmful light. This article by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) summarizes a 2012 study which documented the "absence of strong positive or negative effects of LLLT on tumor growth" with the type of red light that is used in LLLT.  The study did, in fact, conclude that there was no proof or indication that LLLT (PBMT) has any negative effect on cancer cells.  If your skin is more photosensitive from skin cancer's effects or treatment of it, you may wish to consult your physician before using LLLT.
